Super Rugby Game of The Week – Round 11

It’s becoming more difficult by the week to earn GSPs on SuperBru as this year’s Super Rugby heads deeper into the second half of the season. Teams that have under-performed in the first half of the competition are finding their straps and the top guns are starting to slide, well all but the Crusaders of course.

Round 10 saw us get 6/8 correct calls with the Waratahs and Sharks spoiling the party, although we still got a marginal point from the Tahs match against the Reds.

Our Game of the Week in round 11 of Super Rugby sees the Blues visit the Waratahs in Sydney as the New Zealanders are looking for their third win on Australian soil this year.

Last week’s showing against the Brumbies was really not something many people would have been happy to have woken up for as the men from Auckland struggled to an 18-12 win in Canberra. Guess it was a fair reflection of New Zealand’s lowest ranked team against Australia’s highest on the day.

This week the Blues come up against a former Super Rugby Champion, which has been struggling far beyond anyone would have imagined at the start of this season. After edging out the Reds in Brisbane in only their third win of the campaign, they still find themselves way off the pace in the Australasian group, which is dominated by all the Kiwi sides.

The Blues have not really been able to deliver a convincing performance yet this season and Coach Tana Umaga will be hoping for his team to end their tour in Australia on a high. The Waratahs on the other hand will just try and limit the damages yet again as their season of disappointment rolls on.

We will not recommend you plan your weekend around this game even if you are from New Zealand or Australia. This could be 2 hours spend more productively on something more worth your while with the only effort dedicated to this game being your time spent on SuperBru to make your predictions.

To those that have to watch it, our sincere thoughts are with you all hehehe.
