IPL 8: Chennai Super Kings v Delhi Daredevils

With game one of the 2015 Indian Premier League done and dustd we look at game two coming up on Thursday. The Chennai Super Kings were considered as the best in the T20 business when they dominated the Indian Premier League in 2010 and in 2011.

The men in yellow have not tasted champagne out of the cup for the last three years but with a star studded  line-up this could be their year to shine.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni returns to captain the Super Kings while South Africa’s T20 captain Faf du Plessis and New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum will make this one of the most dangerous teams to watch.

Dwayne Bravo and Dwayne Smith will lead the West Indies charge while the selectors will also have Mike Hussey, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohit Sharma to choose from.

Also add to the mix Dolphins all-rounder Kyle Abbott who will arrive for his first IPL spell that is justy reward for a player that certainly caught the eye in recent years.

The swing he generates with the new ball could be of great value while Abbott can certainly make a contribution with the willow if required.

2014 was a disastrous year for the Delhi Daredevils who finished at the bottom of the log with two wins from 14 matches.

They have decided to name JP Duminy as their captain for the new season.

Quinton de Kock, Albie Morkel and Imran Tahir will make Duminy feel right at home.

Angelo Mathews and Yuvraj Singh are two more notables to watch with bat in hand while Mohammed Shami, Amit Misra and Nathan Coulter-Nile will beef up the bowling department.

The Daredevils will need their experienced men to be on top of their game if they are to have a chance this year while the Super Kings for my money will be in for another good campaign.
