Everyone loves a good Sweet and Sour Sauce, whether you have it with your pork chops, fillet, fried noodles, rice or some yummy roast potatoes. This recipe is easy and great to keep in the fridge.
Makes 2 cups
2 Tbsp corn flour
½ cup canned pineapple pieces with ½ cup (125 ml) of its juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup tomato sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
- Dissolve the corn flour by whisking it into the pineapple juice and put into a saucepan with all the other ingredients.
- Stir over a low heat until the sauce thickens, don’t worry if it looks a tad murky at the beginning, it clears as it cooks
