Budweiser, one of the world’s most iconic beers, now also brewed in South Africa, is lighting up the country to celebrate its 32nd year as the official, and therefore exclusive, beer of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™.
Following the recent unveiling of AB InBev’s new global campaign, “Light Up the FIFA World Cup™,” Budweiser South Africa is currently touring the country to literally light up eight of South Africa’s 2010 stadiums in an effort to ensure that South Africans feel part of the euphoric energy leading up the most watched sporting event on the planet.
On Friday, 8 June, Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium is next in line to be lit up on the tour, while Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld Stadium will be lit up in celebration on Saturday, 9 June.
Fans are invited to join the high-energy brand for each city’s official Light Up party with Metro FM and DJ Fresh. The Johannesburg Light Up party will be held at Zone 6 Venue (28, Blackchain Shopping Centre, Chris Hani Road and Patrick Street, Diepkloof Zone 6, Soweto); and the Pretoria Light Up party will be held at Europa Club (Robert Sobukwe Street, Sunnyside, Pretoria). Guests in attendance will have the opportunity to win one FIFA World Cup™ ticket.
