Great climbers aren’t born, they’re made and the place that they learn their craft is what makes them who they are. From the people around them to their local climbing spots, it all feeds into the type of athlete they become just as our earliest climbing experiences shape our climbing style and future expectations.
What type of climber then comes out of the flat heartland of Texas, USA?
Well, in the case of 20-year-old Delaney Miller, three time US national champion, a pretty damn good one. We caught up with Delaney in her home town of Frisco to find out more about how she became the formidable competition climber we all know today and how climbing has changed everything for her, even her outlook on life itself.
