Fruit Cobbler
You have made the biggest mistake of offering to cook for the lady in your life. Starters on the braai – easy. Main course, on the braai – easy. Dessert…..uhmmmmmm. When your culinary skills rarely goes past a salad and your trusted friend the braai, it’s difficult to impress with the last course…. and of course, dessert is the most important meal of the evening…*wink-wink*
Serves: 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 35 g self-rising flour
- 65 g melted butter
- 70 ml milk
- 55 g white sugar
- 130 g canned fruit cocktail, strawberries, blueberries or cherries
METHOD:
- Preheat oven 175 degrees C.
- Lightly butter 2 small baking dishes (ramekins or even some tea or coffee cups or a mug).
- Combine the flour, butter, milk, sugar and fruit.
- Mix together and pour into prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
