Gallery of Champions
At the launch of SuperSport’s Rugby World Cup offering there was also a special launch of something very unique, which will get most avid rugby, especially Springbok supporters excited to own a part of history and we have all the details here.
What’s it about?
The #GalleryOfChampions saw the commissioning of five South African up-and-coming artists who completed three illustrations each of South African Rugby players. These illustrations were exhibited for one night only in Johannesburg. From Monday 9 September to Friday 13 September, SuperSport will be auctioning the A1 original prints and all proceeds from this auction will go to rugby development via SuperSport’s Corporate Social Investment – Let’s Play.
How it works
A gallery with all fifteen watermarked illustrations from each of the artists will be posted on SuperSport’s Facebook Rugby page.
Each of the individual illustrations is up for auction. Bids need to be made on the individual artwork within the gallery.
A bid is made by writing a comment with the numerical Rand value of your bid on the individual photo.
The highest amount posted by 12:00 (CAT) on Friday 13 September wins the original A1 framed print of the chosen player without the ‘Gallery of Champions’ watermark.
Bidding opens from when the gallery is posted and ends on Friday 13 September at 12:00 (CAT).
SuperSport will be in touch with highest bidder to facilitate payment and delivery of goods.
Bidding is not limited to one illustration. Multiple bids are accepted.
Auction is open to residents of South Africa only.
