Surf and Turf – ON A STICK!
I love seafood, but i also love steak…. so when we go out, I opt for a Surf and Turf, the best of both worlds. This recipe combines your loved Surf and Turf and a braai all in one…well… on one stick.
SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS:
- 400 g Rump Steak cubed
- 12 Headless Tiger Prawns raw
- 45 ml Olive Oil
- 10 ml Paprika
- 5 ml Crushed Garlic
- A dash of Tabasco Sauce (i like to use the smoky one)
- 5 ml Worcestershire Sauce
- Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to season
- 80 ml Margarine
- 5 ml Garlic and Herb Seasoning
METHOD:
- Thread the steak and cleaned prawns alternately onto 4 skewers.
- Combine the oil, paprika, crushed garlic, tabasco and Worcestershire sauce.
- Coat the kebabs using a basting brush.
- Braai over medium to hot coals for 8 -10 minutes until cooked to your liking.
- Meanwhile in a small pan on the side of the braai, melt the margarine.
- Add the garlic and herb seasoning.
- Serve the kebabs with a drizzle of this delicious margarine.
