Today is a big day for us as we finally let the cat out the bag and get to announce to the world our first new partner in KDT Sports.

This has been a partnership that has been coming on for a few years and finally we get to join hands and brains which are a massive dream come true.

KDT Communications was established in 2014 by Kerryn & Kirsty du Toit and in 2019; KDT Comms introduced an exciting new element to their already dynamic business, namely KDT Sports. KDT Sport is a South African based Sports Marketing & Management Company representing professional rugby players in their personal capacity, focusing on all personal branding aspects outside of their professional rugby career.

We love and know them so we thought it was high time that you did too.

Kerryn and Kirsty are avid sports lovers so we thought we would ask them a few on the spot sports related questions…. No pressure.

*We hope that no sportsman or sporting codes egos are harmed in their responses

Who would you say is your favorite sports team/sportsman (any sport)?

Kirsty: This is a tough one! Locally I would say the Blitzboks – I feel they deserve way more credit than what they ever receive. They never disappoint and they always give 100%. The collective talent within the team is pure magic. Internationally I’d say Chelsea FC because I’ve supported them since I was 10 and my heart is forever blue!

Kerryn: I’d definitely say the Springboks and the Sharks! I’ve been loyal to the same Super Rugby team for as long as I can remember. But, when it comes to sportsmen, Rory McIlroy is my absolute number 1 – I had the opportunity of meeting him at the Nedbank Golf Challenge two years ago, and it was a real “fan-girl” moment, I was completely star struck!!

Where do you find is the best place to watch sport?

Kirsty: I’m generally a loud person, but when I watch sport I’m even louder, so for me the best place to watch sport is in the comfort of my own home! I’m incredibly passionate when I watch sport and I don’t hold back when it comes to screaming at the ref on TV, or celebrating a goal, or cheering for my team in those last few nail-biting minutes of a game. Sometimes it isn’t always positive words coming out my mouth. It doesn’t go down too well in public haha.

Kerryn: There is nothing better than a Sporting Saturday with friends or family in front of the TV at home, a braai happening outside and some local beverages flowing and the people you love to keep your company. We (my sister and I) are both very passionate and the TV usually gets the brunt of our “passion”, and our friends all know about this already, so safe to say the best place is home! But when it comes to big test matches, or championship games, there isn’t anything quite like being at the stadium when everyone is on the same sporting high as you.

How far have you gone to show your support for the Boks / Blitzboks?

Kirsty: Kerryn and I travelled to the UK to attend the 2015 Rugby World Cup to proudly support the Springboks. We’ve been fortunate to attend quite a few sporting events worldwide, but this was one we couldn’t miss. We attended 5 games in the UK and Scotland and faced the wrath of the Japanese beating us in our opening game. The vibe was electric and if there’s one thing the British do well, its host a worldwide sporting event! That and we manage quite a few of the players, that counts too don’t it? haha.

Kerryn: As Kirsty said, we went to the 2015 Rugby World Cup in London and lived every moment of the excitement, the vibe the British brought, and of course the many South African’s that not only travelled to attend and support but also who live there that came out in masses to the bars and pubs to support our boys in Green and Gold. We’re very passionate about getting to sporting events annually, so even our annual Cape Town 7’s trip is always fun. We want to try to get to Abu Dhabi 7’s soon too. And now that the rugby has been included in the Olympic Games that will definitely be on our bucket list, we were lucky enough to attend the 2012 Olympics so I can only imagine the vibe with Rugby included now too!

Now you can see why we have partnered with them as they are a perfect fit.

Kreative. Kind. Kool. Kollected. Kick-ass. They are KDT!

Visit our site every Wednesday to see what they and their clients have been up to. Our next partner will be announced at the end of March and you DON’T want to miss that.
